| Part of being a good "Web Neighbor" is swapping links with other webmasters, to help promote each other's work. Since a number of folks have asked me if I have prepared banners for this site, I've whipped up a few that you are welcome to use in your webpages. If you'd like to use one of the banners below, but don't know how to go about adding it to your page, scroll down to the bottom for some helpful hints. I've included the file sizes below, to help you decide which one you'd like to use. PLEASE save the banner you want to use to your own webspace...no "hot-linking" from this domain. I would also ask that you send websurfers to the address below, as other page URLs may change in time:
![]() Please make sure you mention "Paradise Bar" in your subject line, so I can tell that your email isn't spam. Thanks for your interest in this site, and BIG thanks if you choose to use one of the banners below.

Right-click on any banner to save it...you can always shorten or change the filename.

To use a banner, you first have to have a webpage or online area you can post to. You also need to be familiar with either FTP or whatever file transfer method your server requires. As noted above, some of these banners are fairly large files, so if you place them on a page with a lot of other illustrations, your page loads may be slow. With that in mind, here are the steps to posting a banner: 1. Save the banner you want to use. You can right-click on any of the images above and save the file to a folder on your computer. Place it someplace where you keep other banners, or related images, so you can find it easily. You can also change the file name to something shorter or more recognizeable. 2. Upload the banner image to your server, using FTP or your server's file tool. Place it in a folder or directory with similar images that you can reference using html. 3. Modify your existing html (web page) document to include the banner in the place you think is best suited for it. In the example that follows, Cindy-Lou Who owns her own web domain, called "cindylou.com." She keeps all banners in a folder named "images" at her domain. Here's what the html would look like, situated in the space she has designated, using one of the banners above:
Note that I've used square brackets ] and [ in the example...you should replace these with angle brackets > and < , or the html won't function properly. If you choose you can omit the "alt" line, which just describes the link when someone runs their mouse over it. Here's the same example, except that Cindy-Lou wants a new browser window to open (red script) and doesn't want a border to appear around the banner image (green script):
If you cut and paste my example, don't forget to substitute the web address at your site for "www.cindylou.com/images"....and swap those pesky square brackets for angle brackets. Depending on where your site is set up (and how), you may need to save both the banner and your page html to the same folder. You can use the email link above if you need help with this part. 4. Once you've modified your document to include the banner html, upload it to your server. 5. Go to your webpage (or refresh it, if you're already there) and click on the banner. The browser should open to the main page at PB&G. If you get an error message, or your image doesn't show up on the page, check to see where you placed the banner, and review your html for errors. And that's it!
