The bar is overrun with refugees from across the DC-Q and elsewhere. One Wonder Woman has been "sent back," and replaced by a similar model; Aphrodite stops by for "one last visit," but the impending destruction of PB&G won't get her down. Meanwhile, someone's in the kitchen with Silver Age Batgirl, and someone important from Spider Jerusalem's timeline wants to find him. Speaking of Spider, things are going downhill for him and all his compatriots. Not far away in the nameless dimension of shelving units, survivors from the Marvel Universe are being hunted down --hero and villain alike-- and "integrated." (33 pages) |
SF Wonder Woman and Batgirl enlist the aid of not one, but TWO Spectres, in seeking an interview with arch-villain Mordru. He may provide some much needed answers to their questions about IT, if he cooperates. Meanwhile, Spider, Smeagol and (Adam) Strange encounter an old friend under unlikely circumstances. In part six of "Artemis In Eternia," Superwoman and the Crime Syndicate finally remove Faker from the picture, but are they making a fatal mistake, not listening to his warnings of treachery from on high...? (30 pages) |
Last issue's surprise attack leads the bar staff to make some hard and fast choices, before another assault can take place. Three staffers depart for two separate destinations, and none have any idea when they might return to the bar. Just as well they do...for a second attack is forthcoming, and possibly more. Also, in part five of "Artemis In Eternia," Superwoman of the Crime Syndicate plots to usurp Faker as IT's agent in Eternia, and she has just the tool in her hands to accomplish the switch, or so she hopes. (33 pages) |
Back at the ranch, Barbara has her hands full with new Bat-memberships and a Steve Trevor with a split-identity. Little does she know that she has become the ultimate target for acquisition by the insidious IT and henchman Faker. Is the bar's open door policy due for a security update ? In Part 4 of "Artemis In Eternia," we see that the red-tressed amazon has infiltrated the enemy stronghold...but outnumbered a hundred to one, what can she do to forestall her foes ? (32 pages) |
It may be business as usual at the bar, but otherwheres, there's problems ! Artemis and (First Appearance) Wonder Woman find themselves, alive but quite lost, in a mysteriously self-replicating dimension. Even as they discover that this strange place has MANY tenants (among them, characters from Lord Of The Rings, and the Marvel Universe), it becomes obvious that they aren't there by choice. (37 pages) |
This first-ever giant sized ish of PB&G includes three stories: An afternoon of relatively uneventful job interviews is disrupted by a divine arrival in "Precious Love" ; "Smeagol, The Flying Footpad" details the post-Tolkien ramblings of everyone's favorite footpad ; last is the second installment of "Artemis In Eternia," continued from ish #5. And don't miss the two full-page pinup pics ! |
Everywhere you turn there is conflict...even in the midst of celebration. In this case, Zatanna's birthday party has some decidedly screwy guests. Meanwhile, the staff of PB&G find that they have a new boss...again ! Last but not least, Artemis guest stars in her own backup series. (32 pages) |
Back to business as usual...or IS it ? Cleanup time turns into a call to arms for the staff of PB&G, when the normally low key bar becomes a stage for Chaos and Order. And what are those Pocket Heroes up to ? (32 pages) |
So Mordru was the bad guy...this much we already knew. But who knew the scope of his mad abduction scheme ? Certainly not the heroes taken from the DC-Q, who encounter folks kidnapped from the far corners of the Immateria... (32 pages) |
The bar's first annual Halloween party seems to be going off without a hitch, but appearances can be deceiving. Abductions (and new members) out the wazoo, and the route to resolution is strewn with petty annoyances. (38 pages) |
| "The Company of DANGERS !" In Part One (6/02), the Wonder Gals would each like to kick back after a memorable lunch, but company comes first. In Part Two (9/02), spirits will play, tempers flare and...advertisements ?? |
| "Doing Things The H.A.R.D. Way" (5/02) The "joint-challenged" denizens of the DC-Q are mad as hell and they're not going to take it any more. But without a firm political platform, all they'll produce is a fine whine. |
